Joanna Krupka
MD
Clinical Research Associate,
Ph.D. Student

Joanna studied Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw. She was also involved in teaching and research in the Department of Immunology investigating pro-oxidative treatment strategies in B-cell malignancies. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in the CRUK Cambridge Centre Clinical Fellowship Programme jointly supervised by Dr. Daniel Hodson and Dr. Shamith Samarajiwa.

Her research focuses on translational regulation in aggressive B cell lymphomas such as Diffused Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) or Burkitt Lymphoma (BL). Joanna is mainly interested in dynamic changes in translation during lymphoma progression. Tight integration of next-generation sequencing data, mathematical modeling with subsequent wet-lab validation can reveal mechanisms of drug resistance acquisition and give insight into lymphoma early development.
