Dóra has a background in computer science; she did her Ph.D. on agent-based modelling with the aim to better understand the stability of microbial communities.

 

She joined the Samarajiwa group in 2015 as a post-doctoral researcher. Her research focused on understanding transcriptional regulation underlying carcinogenic processes, studying both the transcriptional regulomes and the epigenomic modifications involved in cancer-related gene regulation. She used information integration methods, computational genomics and systems modelling approaches to de-convolute cellular regulomes involved in carcinogenesis.
